A Polynesian Wayfinder’s Escape Room
 
Bring history to life with this immersive, hands-on escape room challenge based on the early Polynesian world! Perfect for middle and high school learners, this printable escape room invites students to explore key aspects of Polynesian culture, navigation, geography, and symbolism as they work to solve layered puzzles and discover the lost cache that they need to settle the island.
 
Students will decode star maps, reconstruct Moai statues, track the life cycle of volcanic islands, solve mirrored messages, discover hidden messages and much more! Decor and decoys have also been included that you can use if you choose. 
 
Most everything you need to implement the escape room is included in this printable pack - you’ll just need to add a mirror and a pencil. 
 
The step by step Facilitator’s Guide makes set up so easy and you’ll thoroughly understand how the puzzles work together and how students should come to the conclusions so that you can provide hints if required. 
 
This escape room works great as a stand alone (self contained) or as a culminating activity for our Age of Polynesian Wayfinders unit study!
