The Princess Bride novel and subsequent film are cult classics that have brought joy to many over the years. After loving it as a teen myself it was so fun to introduce it to my kids and for it to become a favourite of theirs as well.
TPB is a fantastic narrative that facilitates so much great literature learning. In this study you’ll find 8 lessons connected to the movie.

How can you go wrong with The Princess Bride?! I own the movie (special edition), soundtrack, novel (I totally believed in Morganstern's original when I first read it, btw), and a book about the movie, so naturally we needed this resource for our homeschool - and my collection. This deep dive contains interesting language arts activities and art ideas, and I really love the potential geography rabbit trails that can be explored from the Filming Locations section. Very well done resource!
This unit is so clever, creative, and such a fun way to introduce a cult classic. My 11 and 15 yr old enjoyed learning the character archetypes, Hero’s Journey, annotations, and even the silhouette art project.
This was a great unit to break up the mundane cycle of schooling. The watch party decor and snacks were an absolute highlight!
