Do you struggle with effectively teaching research and report writing? 
It's a skill that typically requires a lot more guidance than we know how to or have the time to give for students to develop. This FULLY GUIDED RESEARCH PROJECT aims to create an opportunity for students to learn by doing while investigating the fabulously mysterious Bermuda Triangle.
 
Students will be guided through EVERY step of the process:
Saturation, watching videos and reading articles
Keyword searches on the internet
Engaging research activities (scavenger hunt, video bingo, sorting)
Highlighting relevant information
Hook Writing
Fully guided writing of each paragraph through a series of prompts
Collaboration and Revision
Writing a Bibliography
Publishing
 
Seriously, every step is guided. Your result will be a thoroughly researched, well-formatted informational report.
 
Suitable for Grades 5-9 and possibly older if they could use a solid foundation in research techniques and report writing.
NOTE: Due to the nature of this study, ALL research is internet based. You must have access to the internet and YouTube. The project also requires printing of articles so that students can work with the text hands on. You can do it without a printer but it's much better with. Do not purchase if you will not be using the internet.
