In this Universal Poetry Study, YOU and your STUDENTS get to pick the poetry or song lyrics that matter to them! (Before you stop reading because you don’t want to pick poems - don’t worry - I included a poetry library of printable poems and links to other poems/lyrics that you can use if you’d rather not search for your own!)

Students will have opportunities to discover these writing elements in any manner of poetry or song lyrics and THEN they’ll also be given activities to write their own original poetry.
